Clamshell packaging is the most secure package available and is best suited for high value products. Clamshell packages come in a variety of sealing options from high frequency welding to tab locking. Some clamshell insert packages are resealable while others require scissors to open. Included with clamshells are insert cards and both can work similar to a blister card and blister shell process as a combination run or dedicated run.

Clamshells require insert cards to market the product within. Cincinnati Printers produces insert cards on 10 pt to 14 pt SBS taking into consideration the functionality of the insert. Depending on the number of skus or parts and quantity needed, we print these in dedicated combination print runs or dedicated print runs.
